wow, the end of an ‘era’, so to speak… and a very complicated era at that…
feeling pretty sad about it to be honest. i guess its just those feelings of inadequacy coming back again… feelings of not quite being up to standard… not good enough…
i am happy for him. i truly am. and i hope this works out for him.
i hope things work out for me too…...

Completing my first assignment for my photography diploma… forgot what its like to study. actually really enjoying it right now… funny how it works like that when you actually have an interest in what you are studying :)

ok, so i booked my flights to the US last night… ONE WAY TICKET… freaking out a little. slept so badly with my mind going over how big of a deal this is to me…
so, on monday the 24th May 2010, i am leaving beautiful australia, and setting up camp (literally) in Minnesota…
EEEEEEK! so FREAKIN excited! i can’t belive this is actually happening. loving life today!

Shopping for a DSLR and i am struggling… the more i read, the more i am rapidly approaching struggle-town…
i think i want a canon 500D (i would love the 50D but the bank account says no deal) but now its just a case of which lenes to get… eek!

City Lights.
Had to play taxi for a slightly boozy friend who had her xmas party this evening. Party was at the royal perth yacht club, on the swan river, so i packed up my camera, tripod and headed down to the river to get a few shots of the city lights over the water while i waited for her…
the result…? very stock-standard postcard-type photos… bleh! :(

ok, so i openly admit to being a bit of a geek sometimes… i mean i teach science for goodness sake…!
but i came across this national-geographic project which really caught my attention.
it is called the genographic project… basically creating a family tree of the whole world… to show that we are all distantly related…

Minnesota, here i come!
so, just finished 2nd interview with the wonderful ladies in america… loves it… loves me… (side note - who wouldn’t)… I’M IN!!!
In mid-May, 2010, I will be leaving on a jet plane for the U S of A… don’t know when i’ll be back again… :P
Pretty big deal in my books - pretty frightening at the same time!!
